What is the process for initiating and booking with one of the doctors?
Prior to scheduling it is important that you have:
- Sent in a completed questionnaire with your medical history
- Signed a declaration of consent which can be downloaded on our website or will be sent to you on request via e-mail or ordinary mail.
- Completed an initial phone consultation with a physician. The consultations are necessary to understand biological medicine and gain an understanding of the center and how it can benefit you. It also helps to facilitate the process of designing a customized treatment schedule for you and gives us lead time to order necessary test kits or medication prior to your arrival at the center.
- Completed and submitted results of diagnostic laboratory tests within three months Prior to arrival.
What is the typical waiting time prior to appointments and treatments?
Scheduling can vary depending on the time of year. The doctors’ schedules and the needs of each individual patient are considered. In general, you can expect approximately 2-8 weeks to arrange your first physical contact between you and your concierge medical service physician. Expect it to take 1-2 weeks to get your phone consultation completed and secure the date for your first personal meeting.
How does Concierge Medical Services work?
After the preliminary phone consultation a procedure plan is submitted to you. This plan will take into account your personal needs and the efforts that are necessary to suit your medical situation the most. The length of time and place for the first mandatory meeting varies and is determined by the initial consultation with the doctor. Our personal priority is always the patient’s individual needs. Be aware to allow yourself enough time for a proper evaluation. Through the very close collaboration between the patient and the doctor customized treatments, diet and lifestyle changes will be implemented and patients are given tools to succeed with follow-up treatments during the further course. We use regular phone consults to maintain connection with patients between the periods of seeing each other for follow up. This ensures proper channeling of the current medical assistance and makes the best supervision even at long distance possible. Concierge Medical Services offer you the opportunity to be independent of a location and still having medical advice at hand whenever and wherever you need it, subject to the condition that both parties provide accessibility to modern communication technology and are willing to agree to a very frequent and transparent exchange of information between each other.
What medical documents should I provide?
Your medical history is very important to us. Forward your most recent lab test results and also current imaging reports. MRI, PET or CT discs are not strictly necessary, but can be helpful. If you have not had extensive lab tests in the last 2-3 months, that’s fine. During the preliminary phone consultation we will determine what is necessary to complete the medical picture of your personal case. It might also be helpful to give us access to your personal records or notes from current doctors.
Will my health insurance cover any of the consultations or treatments?
Insurance coverage depends on each individual’s coverage and schedule of benefits and varies greatly. We do not directly bill insurance companies so you will be required to pay out of pocket for your treatments and submit claims for reimbursement directly to your insurance carrier. Coverage for alternative medicine is slowly expanding, but not yet everywhere. It is advisable to contact your insurance company prior to using our services to determine whether they will cover our assistance or specific treatments offered.
